The G20 Global Summit of Young Entrepreneurs has opened, focusing on cultural connectivity and business development.

The 2024 G20 Global Summit of Young Entrepreneurs recently opened in Brazil, bringing together nearly a thousand participants, including government officials, members of royal families, and business leaders from the G20 member countries. With the theme “Connecting Cultures, Fostering Business,” the summit aims to strengthen solidarity and collaboration among young entrepreneurs worldwide, build a high‑quality, sustainable business environment, and inject new vitality into global economic development.

The G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Global Summit is a key platform through which G20 governments receive recommendations on business, entrepreneurship, and innovation policies. According to the 2015 Policy Report of the SME and Entrepreneurship Working Group of the G20 Business Summit, the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance represents more than one million young entrepreneurs worldwide. Each year, the Alliance hosts a global summit in the host country of the G20 Presidency, where participants engage in in-depth discussions on global business trends and opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship, working together to advance the cause of youth-driven innovation around the world.

 

 

At this summit, as the Honorary Chair of the China Council of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance, Jia Wei delivered the closing keynote address at the opening ceremony, adding significant highlights to the event. He underscored the pivotal role of culture as a bridge in business exchanges, arguing that cultural connections can deepen mutual understanding and trust among nations, thereby fostering more robust global cooperation. Jia Wei also shared insights into China’s business culture—particularly its entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mindset—and encouraged young entrepreneurs from around the world to come to China to strengthen dialogue and jointly explore new opportunities for business development.

Following the event, Jia Wei’s presentation elicited an enthusiastic response from the attendees. Chairpersons of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance from multiple countries, along with numerous business leaders, remarked that Jia Wei’s insights had deepened their understanding of China’s business environment and cultural richness, leaving them eager to invest, establish enterprises, forge partnerships, and explore the country as tourists.

This G20 Global Summit for Young Entrepreneurs has not only established a broad platform for exchange and cooperation among young entrepreneurs worldwide, but has also served as a window to showcase China’s openness, economic dynamism, and spirit of innovation, providing an important opportunity for China to tell its story in a genuine, multifaceted, and comprehensive manner on the global stage.

As the host country, Brazil showcased its hosting prowess at this summit. The Vice President of the National Confederation of Commerce of Brazil, a special representative to the Brazilian National Congress, heads of various government departments from the state of Goiás, and ambassadors from multiple countries accredited to Brazil all attended, jointly fostering international exchange and cooperation.
